The benefits of the cloud—scalable implementation, location flexibility, cost savings—have been well discussed over the past few years and generally speaking, there has been an explosion in terms of use - with cloud adoption increasing from 19% to 57% from 2015 to 2016.
For high-risk business processes that drive research and development, the trend for life science research in the cloud has lagged behind and adoption has been slower to ramp up.
